character relationships | x-men.

Logan's gender swap clone, who has all his abilities, but no adamantium skeleton, meaning she heals faster than he does.  Created by the Facility, who wanted to recreate Weapon X, and eventually freed by her mother, who told her to find Logan, before the Facility ordered Laura to kill her.  Laura's admitted to Logan that the other students didn't want her there, and he imagines that other-him was probably suspicious of her at first, as well.  She arrived in Paradisa only shortly before he did, and their first run-in was violent, given that she was suspicious of him after encountering Hellverine back home, and his first action here was to hunt down Julian to try to teach him a lesson after trolling Wolverine upon arrival.  They fought, as she tried to protect Julian, but Logan later explained himself, and they both apologized, in their own way.  Laura agreed to train under Logan with the rest of the X-Men, and briefed him on everyone's abilities and personalities.

Given that Laura is only sixteen, and that he feels responsible for her very existence, he already feels an instinctive desire to play Papa Bear.  Part of him is actually deeply affected by the idea that he has some kind of living 'family', even if it's a result of genetic experimentation, but her cold dismissal of the idea that they're family in that sense is enough to keep him from pushing the notion, or even dwelling on it.  He can understand why she might hate him, given how horrible her short life must have already been, and he's just glad that she seems to trust him enough to accept his leadership, for the moment.  He's not sure how much the Facility programmed the way that she thinks, so he's bound to be cautious about how he approaches her, and keep a close eye on her whenever he can.

LAURA / X-23 | [livejournal.com profile] fightfurther

Logan broke Julian's nose on his first day in Paradisa, which says almost everything you need to know.  He can tell Julian's a little punk who's going to give him trouble, but at the same time, he definitely understands what it's like to be a punk who doesn't like authority.    According to Laura, he's a powerful telekinetic, who had mental blocks removed by Emma Frost, and has a tendency to be overconfident and brash.   Julian's given him a lot of info on the future and, even though he's not happy about the idea of Logan teaching them, he still answers his questions (and even kept the fact that Wolverine had been the one to stop Phoenix a secret from Logan).

Julian professed to be the leader of the current X-Men, and Logan bitched him out about how they'd gotten lazy by not keeping up training / organization.  Logan expects to butt heads with him in the course of getting them back on track, but he plans to deal with Julian via lots of reverse psychology, using Julian's own pride against him, to try to turn him into a real leader.

JULIAN KELLER / "HELLION" | [livejournal.com profile] unhands
Just like everyone else here, he's from Logan's future, where he says they're teammates.  He's the oldest of the other X-Men here, even though he's only 23.  He managed to help convince Logan that this wasn't all in his head when he first arrived, and explained how the Phoenix scenario occurred in his own world.   His body acts as a container of biokinetic energy.  Unsure of what Logan knew, he told him a little about Weapon X & mentioned that he was infiltrating it in his own time.  He's been pretty helpful to Logan, and expressed a mutual interest in trying to get the team back on track, although he seemed pretty pessimistic about how to actually make it happen.

JONOTHAN STARSMORE / "CHAMBER" | [livejournal.com profile] ruined_jaw
An Omega level mutant, who can alter the biological structure of himself or others and heal on a massive level.  He's capable of using the power offensively as well, but it changes his demeanor.  He's seemed willing to get back to training, now that Logan's here.

JOSH FOLEY / "ELIXIR" | [livejournal.com profile] helynge
Composed of a non-toxic, metallic liquid, able to change her shape and density at will. Enthusiastic about training, and seems largely friendly (even when Logan... isn't, as usual).

CESSILY KINCAID / "MERCURY" | [livejournal.com profile] reshaper
Controls pheremones.  Seemed disappointed when he didn't remember her.

LAURIE COLLINS / "WALLFLOWER" | [livejournal.com profile] advertoimpetus

character relationships.
Someone who seemed incredibly happy to see Logan and his claws around here.  Knew Logan back in his world, and explained a lot about the castle to him when he arrived.

Plus, shared some tacos with him.

WADE WILSON / "DEADPOOL" | [livejournal.com profile] mouthiness
Ended up in a fight with Logan on his first day, which was a pretty even match, due to her enhancements.  He won the right to get past her in the end, and she got curious about exactly what he was made of.   After talking to Washington and finding out she underwent some kind of operation that made her that way, they talked, and he learned it was government issue, when she was very young.  She doesn't seem at all upset about having been a part of the program - rather, she seems proud to be a part of it.

KAT B-320 / THE SPARTAN / NOBLE TWO | [livejournal.com profile] inmylight_comdr
Also from the future, and alternate universe of Logan's world, Guido works for X-Factor, a mutant detective agency.  Kind of sarcastic, seemed to know Logan well enough in his own world.

GUIDO | [livejournal.com profile] blorks
Helped talk some sense into Logan upon arrival, and approached things logically enough that he found him hard to argue with.  And hey, they both share a love of soldiering and booze, and a cynicism about government justification of secret projects.  Back in his world (which is also where Kat comes from), he's part of a war between humans and aliens.

WASHINGTON | [livejournal.com profile] dontpatr0nizeme
The first person Logan physically encountered here, Logan mistook Mina for a mental manifestation of Phoenix at first, and threatened.  It took some cooling down for him to talk to her again in a civil manner.  She's a chemist, with an unflappable exterior, who's given him what information she has about the castle.

MINA HARKER | [livejournal.com profile] possiblycantdie
Not so happy to see Wolverine given that he 'screws up his life every time he's in New York', is Spider-Man, who was offended that Logan didn't even remember him after everything he went through for the guy.

SPIDER-MAN | [livejournal.com profile] technicallyabug
The little girl that Laura & Logan rescued from Slenderman's hideout. She was incredibly brave, even talking about protecting the both of them, and Logan really thinks she's something. He's a big ol' softie at heart.

JUSTINIA | [livejournal.com profile] merriment
Logan ran into and threatened Tony on his first day, prompting Tony to put an alert to the Peace Patrol to keep an eye on the guy.  Tony's suspicious of him, and Logan doesn't give any fucks.

TONY STARK | [livejournal.com profile] fired_once
Explained the journal system and filters to Logan.

ELEVEN | [livejournal.com profile] hulloeverything
A talking duck.  Which pretty much convinced Logan he must be losing his mind.

GOSALYN | [livejournal.com profile] butdaaaaad
Acted like an asswipe, withholding info just because Logan was... also an asswipe.  Off to such a good start, these two.  Many threats of bodily harm were exchanged.

VANITAS | [livejournal.com profile] coocoo4craycray
Liked Logan's sideburns.  Seems largely harmless.

Dude with no face, even though he claims to be a regular ol' human...  Answered some of Logan's questions about the place, and found out Logan's a mutant.

THE QUESTION | [livejournal.com profile] ultimaverum
One freaky looking dude, but nothing new there.

SIMON DARK | [livejournal.com profile] eighteensouls
Some kind of demon, apparently, who got in a fight with Logan on his first day here.  Can regenerate as well.

SPIKE | [livejournal.com profile] breakmychest
Logan likes Yuki because she doesn't mind silence and isn't a big small talker: just like him.  They've talked about Japan a little bit, given Logan's fondness for the place.

YUKI NAGATO | [livejournal.com profile] bogusmagic
X-Men fangirl in the making.

MAYA FEY | [livejournal.com profile] stepladdersduh
Not sure who this is, but she showed up to bitch out Julian and ask what happened between them.

BATGIRL | [livejournal.com profile] batfail
A tough redhead with an attitude, who keeps her secrets close to her chest and knows some things about mutants.  Sounds Russian.  She's been here for six months.

MOLOTOV COCKTEASE | [livejournal.com profile] mc_blackheart
A girl from some kind of post-Apocalyptic future or something, who must have just arrived as well.

SOLARA | [livejournal.com profile] kept_thefaith
Draco made the potion for aging down residents when Slenderman was taking kids, and Logan signed up to try to take him down.  Draco was a little dick about it, which Logan's not likely to forget.

DRACO MALFOY | [livejournal.com profile] malfoy_purity
During the Slenderman incident, Ukitake and Draco put together a plan to age down fighters in hopes Slenderman would come after them, and they could take him down.  Logan participated in the experiment and met an aged down Ukitake.
